6 new looks using Avon’s sparkling Nail Gems

This inexpensive nail art wheel consists of 12 different shaped gems in vivid jewel toned shades that are ideal to mix and match. And also come with a handy pair of nail art tweezers for easy application. Here I have decided to try out as many gems possible by creating 6 different nail looks.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

1. An evening look with striking black nails in Avon Nailwear Pro+ Licorice and an accent nail of clear tear shaped gems placed across the nail.

2. A bold summer look with Avon Nailwear Pro+ Orchid Splash and multi coloured gems to the accent nail. My favourite look!

3. Striking red nails for day or night in Avon Nailwear Pro+ Real Red with an accent nail of multi shaped red gems.

4. A subtle nail look with Avon Nailwear Pro+ Orchid Splash and single purple gems placed at the base of each nail. Any colour/gem combination would work well for this look.

5. A beautiful summer look with Avon Speed Dry+ ASAP Pink and gold flower gems dotted onto each nail. Another favourite look.

6. Back to black with Avon Nailwear Pro+ Licorice and simple but beautiful golden tear shaped gems at the base of each nail.

As you can see the new Avon Nail Gems are incredibly versatile! Application is a breeze with the addition of the nail art tweezers and as long as you place the gems onto a slightly tacky top coat and finish with another coat of top coat they will stay put for as long as your manicure lasts!

Party Nails using Avon

DOTTED NAILS:

Apply a metallic nail colour to all of your nails. Here I chose my all time favourite silver – Avon Nailwear Pro+ ‘Starry Sky’.

1. Taking Avon Nail Decoration Dotting Tool and a little Speedy Dry ‘Rapid Black’ pour out onto a piece of paper or card, practice dotting the numbers. Keeping the dots as even in size as you can.
2. Once you are confident in using the dotting tool start with your little finger and slowly dot on the number ‘2’. Then work away from that nail and dot on the rest of the numbers not to smudge your wet nails.
3. For your thumb nail dot on a large ‘Y’ which will look like a cocktail glass and paint the joining centre of the ‘Y’ with a little gold nail polish for the champagne!

Colourful Fan Nails

1. For your other hand you want a vibrant fan/firework effect. To start roughly brush on lines at opposite sides of each nail with the Avon Nail Decoration Tool. To do this I used Nailwear Pro+ ‘Mod Gold’
2. Clean off your brush and repeat the first step again, brushing quick lines over the gold colour.
3. Once the base of the fan design is dry you can then add as many colours as you wish to the nails. Here I used Speed Dry ‘Reddy To Go’, ‘Orange You Quick’, ‘Fast Time Teal’, Nailwear Pro+ ‘Powerful Copper’.

WINTER SWEATER NAILS:

First paint the nails with a muted shade. Here I chose to use Avon Speed Dry Smoky Plumes as it contrasts well with white design and is an ideal winter shade. Leave nails to full dry.

1. Next taking the Avon Nail Decoration Tool Brush, place small crosses down the centre of 2 or 3 nails with Avon French Manicure White. This will act as a guideline for the rest of the crosses to keep them all in line with each other.
2. Place more crosses down either side of the central column of crosses to fill the nail. To finish the design place small dots in-between the crosses using the dotting tool end of the Avon Nail Decoration Tool.
3. For the other nail design carefully paint two vertical lines down the centre of 2 or 3 nails and connect with a zig-zag line. Then fill either side with as many small dots as you desire.

To complete this winter sweater print design apply your favourite glossy top coat to ensure your manicure lasts.
